Just 2 km or a twenty minute walk east of Chaloklum beach and fishing village is Haad Khom beach. Haad Khom is one of the most beautiful and remote beaches in Koh Phangan. Haad Khom is popular with long stay backpackers and is all about relaxing. Haad Khom is a peaceful spot far away from the parties and late night noise. This is where to go if you really want to get away from everything.

The special thing about Haad Khom is that it has a coral reef just off the beach. It is full of marine life and is one of the best spots on the island to go snorkeling. There is also some great trekking in the area. One popular walk is to Bottle Beach. It takes about 2 hours and crosses jungle and mountain terrain. There are some great views along the way. If you are too tired to walk back you can always take a longtail boat taxi.
